This is a thread for winter camping questions.
Last night I tried out my new sleeping bag on my property, and it was rated to 10F the temperature last night only got down to 26F so I thought I would be fine. I was not. I couldnt fall asleep because I was too cold. I slept in a bivy on some snow pack. Can the cold problem be solved by using a sleeping pad as insulation? Is there anything in a central Minnesotan forest I could use to keep from getting cold?
I am a novice winter camper and would love to get the advice of more experienced campers.
