Planning on thru hiking the AT SoBo in 2022, any anons do this before or plan to in the future?

Planning a NoBo with my gf in 2021. We’re UK based but she’s from the US and has family in Maine so we’ll head that way when we’re done. Really excited to do it and looking forward to lots of preperatory weekend/week hikes in the meantime.

How do you prepare to things so far ahead in your life? Just do it now before you are involved in a fatal car crash, get stabbed by some nog trying to steal your lunch money or OD when those pills, booze and coke were too much for your little heart.
