>>1436975he and my grandma played a big role in my life, when i was a kid and i just needed some time off like any adult would i knew i could call my grandpa and nomatter the time he would hop in his shitty beat up Skoda and drive 2,5 hours to pick me up, even to be there at like 5 in the morning. not surprising the childhood he went through himself, a true ice breaker, determined to change the world around him, he grew up with a, by modern standards, hellishly abusive alcoholic mother and father, but by that times standards, just kinda bad, i mean, for fuck sake he used to sneak out into he local carpenters workshop, steal glue, he go to the barn and grab some hay and glue it to the back of his ear so it wouldnt hurt so much, (that and the whole illegal underground boxing thing but i get side tracked)
Anyway, the point is, he started out with the worst cards, literally build a house with his own two hands and raise a family out of the gutter into the upper middle class. the rest of his working life he made flooring, started with epoxy but that got banned, but anyway
(fun fact, if you are ever in the Copenhagen zoo and see the monkey pen inspired by the giants causeway, i am unsure if it still exists, he layed the flooring)
(additional fun fact, he even helped make the tunnels from Rigshospitalet to Tagensvej, underground patient transport tunnel, that I would decades later use to go from place to place
