Theres a closed down golf course near me, and for the year its been closed, ive loved seeing nature reclaim it, but now the council are building fences around the paths through the course.

so does anyone know how i can stop this, or at least try to slow it down

No, you need a highly visible and traumatic event to bring this development to a halt. Shit manifestos are just something they would laugh about as the hose it away. You need to write up a manifesto, spread it around the mainstream and social media, then walk out to the golf course, chain yourself to an immovable fixture, do use yourself with accelerant and light yourself on fire. People will be so shocked and horrified and the developers/council will be so steeped in bad press they'll halt the project to keep from seeming like heartless monsters. This is literally the only thing that you can do, you no legal recourse to fight it so you have to radically shift public opinion.

Trespassing laws are a necessary evil.

I'm sure there are a few anons that wouldnt mind checking out a place to enjoy the outdoors and will clean up after themselves and not touch anything else, but you have to remember there are tweakers and other scum that will ruin said places. Trespassing laws help deter and act as grounds to punish said people.

Ask the property owners nicely and they may let you in. If they dont then get over it. Plenty of other areas to see

That kinda sucks, a nearby golf course that shut down got bought by the city and they just turned it into a park. It already had nice grass and paths running through it, so they just kept it pretty much as is.

Go dig up a bunch of Native bones and scatter them around the property. Once they get found, some group will come in and tie it up in years of litigation over it being sacred burial grounds. I got bagged for trespassing coming back late from a hike in a local park (park closed at dark sign at trailhead). Dickhead cop didn't even give me a ticket, he charged me with misdemeanor trespassing and I had to go to court, pay $200 in court fees and volunteer for 25 hours. Pretty sure he was pissed because I wouldn't let him search my daypack and truck.

Jesus I didn't realize this board loved the taste of boot so much. To respond, I don't do drugs, gave them no reason to think I had anything illegal on me, but I prefer not to have a power tripping thug feel around my asshole for contraband. A hike took longer than I expected and it got dark, the cop felt like being a dick, I'm still a little bitter. That's the story. go to some meet where they sell artifacts like ancient arrow heads or coins or something. sneak onto the land and bury them around a tree or something really easy to find. just get a spade in there and lift and set back down again. Wait for a couple of months for roots to regrow. Send in an anonymous letter to the local government saying you had found an artifact on the land at X tree on the property and felt guilty about keeping something from a potentially important archeological location and enclose one of the coins or whatever. CC the local news station as well about the find. Wait for several years for ensuing archeological assessment to be completed. I work in the mining industry and this shit will stop any useful project in its tracks every time.
