No, it was strictly illegal to even do that. Evidently, handling a fish is worse than leaving a hook in it. Well, I probably could have done it easily enough without stressing the fish, but most people seem to be really stupid about everything and the people who make the laws are normally making them for the really stupid people.

I would post it but it but I never got a picture. Also it's just a bullhead so not really a rare fish. It's only rare to me 'cause it's from a stocked pond where they only stock largemouth, stripers, and channel cats. That seems to be the only place I can actually pull a fish from. I've spent days fishing other spots including the Maumee river and Lake Erie. I'm just not that good a fisherman.

NW Ohio. All the fishing I've done has pretty much been within a 15 mile radius. I think part of my problem is just about everything I know about fishing is self taught or from the internet, no one in my family fishes so I never got any first hand experience doing things right

Golden trout. Up in a beautiful fucking lake in the eastern Sierra's up from bishop. Lake was at about 10k feet and about 3 miles off the trail and no one round for miles. Fucking caught a ton of those fuckers and then got drunk with my guys and chilled out. Loved it. Also explored a abandoned mine a little bit that was on that trail. Don't get /out/ much anymore because of work and my kids. But I'm damn glad I've had many good times /out/. I will return once my kids are old enough to join me.
