Hey there, y'all!
I'm new here.
I was wondering if anyone had any tips for finding a place out in the middle of the woods for camping? I've been to a few camp grounds here and there, but I really want to go out somewhere in the middle of fucking nowhere without causing any trouble.
Help?

That's what most national parks are. They're places in the middle of fucking nowhere where you can camp for a few days without causing any trouble.

what precautions do you guys take for camping in florida? i mean there are several species of poisonous snake, strange spiders, ALLIGATORS, and florida panthers. it's a lot wilder than other parts of the country.

also what do you do about heat? florida humidity can become nauseating.

Not a worry, really. I've had to use a fishing pole to keep exactly 1 moccasin away from me. Stubborn, but that is one experience in a very, very long time doing this.

In pic related, there are sparse stumps that may harbor a black widow or similar. Only see brown recluse where people live. Maybe my area (SE FL) Tree bark scorpions shuffle under logs and rocks, don't play with logs and rocks. Same goes for rattlesnakes

really not an issue. If you're camping randomly in the swamp without experience, then shame on you. Never had a bad experience with gators, even swimming around them from rope swings.
>panthers
Again, I've seen a few panthers walking around, but as long as you are noisy or obnoxious/threatening they really dont care. I've chased one away by calling out and throwing marble sized rocks.

Really though, there are boar problems in a lot of places. Don't get much attention in the cities but rural areas have issues. I've been chased by a 200~ mother on a hike once. Scared me shitless.

...we kinda prefer the term "innawoods" around here. not that there's any problem with saying "in the woods" or the like but yeah... kinda became a thing early on

I was actually planning on going camping next week, looking at markham park in broward county if anyone heres been there by any chance or know anywhere better in the broward county general area.
Ive been to jonathon dickinson but id rather save the hour trip up there if i could
