>>1443549If you're interested, and you're where the ice never gets thick enough to drive a truck on, you can get everything you need to ice fish effectively for really cheap. My favorite jiggle stick right now was $7 new, this year, it's rigged with a plain hook, a cheap foam and toothpick bobber, and a bb lead sinker, and I've caught walleye, crappie, sunfish, and perch on it, using fatheads and wax worms. I mean, I do have thousands of dollars of other gear, but that, a ice chisel or big knife, a clip on depth sounder, a lake map (or lake map app), and a bucket to sit on would let you catch fish if the ice is less than a foot thick and the air's more than 10 degrees F.
