Compared to being mentally tied to your 8 hours a day obligations every waking moment, literally just to survive. Work minimum wage 40hr, you are no longer eligible for food stamps, rent takes half your income, your choice with the rest of your "allowance" is a)maintain a beater with insurance and gas until it breaks down and you go into debt for the rest of your life, or b) invest in hobby or any individual pursuit for 6 hours a week as your "side hustle", "ticket out", whatever you want to call it.
