I had a young man that wanted to learn River Rat'n. We set out on one of the most desolate rivers in the state. The upper 20+ miles have no way in or out (easily) but the river. Since the river was already up I knew any additional rain would be a problem. About 9PM after downpours and seeing that a dry run behind us was starting to trickle water I decided to pull up camp, load the canoes and head up hill where we spent the
