Needles, razor blade, 50lbs braided fishing line, fish hooks, sinkers, strike anywhere matches, 3 wire snares, ... it has been so long that I don't remember what else there was, but it was packed so well that it took forever to repack. If I were to do it over, I'd omit the matches since I don't need those now for lighting fires. Those canisters are smaller than this canister, but it is packed nearly the same only this one is strictly for fishing.

Been trying to figure out a way to use my 10L daypack as a long term hiking pack while still keeping a decent sleep system and some creature comforts. It'd probably be relatively easy if I just put together a bedroll type thing and strapped it to the outside.

Soft alcohol fuel bottles, fold up windshield nested inside pot, tiny stove. Nest everything you can. Tie your rain jacket round your waist if you’re packing lots of food, or better yet a poncho tarp. Errything else should already be tiny (bushcraft, “bombproof” and prepped Israeli bandage larpers need not apply, a medkit should fit in the palm of your hand, mine is the size of a matchbox and I haven’t skimped on pills, bandages, repair kit or disinfectant etc).
