If you do go through with this: I recommend building a home with a basement and sleeping in that cool, cool basement only to emerge at night and admire the stars. I don’t recommend it being completely underground. I’d hate to be trapped under if a sand storm decided to bury me alive. You would cook alive in a trailer, especially a winterized one. Unless you’re able to reliably provide power out there. I guess you might not need a dehydrator when you can just hang your food to dry like laundry.
Last but NOT least: if you can’t get a well dug on ANY property or if it doesn’t even have one already, don’t even bother. Unless it gets hundreds of inches of rainfall a year and the local laws actually allow you to collect it, and even then.
