I care about the peninsula, I grew up there, and most natives care about it too. It was unique place with its own culture and not many people were willing to venture all the way down to Cape Charles. If we needed to, we could just take the ferry. CBBT ruined everything, especially after the expansion.
There is a reason why it was the most conservative part of Virginia. Now everyone wants to come here, take joy rides. Buy a 'summer house'. Now everything is expensive.
