Nuts, Trail mix, oatmeal, Knorr pastas, freeze-dry meals, chocolates, and mashed potatoes and ramen noodles were the primary food type. I lost a lot of weight also, I couldn't eat enough to meet the caloric demand, and often had to force myself to eat at the end of the day. I started off pretty lean/twinky, I was feeling emaciated by the end- the goal was to get to Roanoke, but I had rolled my ankles too many times, and was treading on E in terms of energy levels.
