Got bit by an Eastern Brown in the middle of nowhere and no way of getting to a hospital.

I slept it off and stayed hydrated.

Also, all of you need to have a better sense of humor about retards in the woods. Literally every group trip I've had has been an unmitigated disaster and they're some of my favorite memories. I'll greentext the worst and hopefully it's decent.

>he was the only other person with a license so a literal first time driver has to take the wheel for him in the other car

>find new spot
>literally not a single clear patch for 3 miles on the near vertical uphill hike

We woke up to find we had set up camp on one of the densest patches of poison ivy I've ever seen. Somehow nobody got it, we drank half a dozen beers each and watched the world go dark from the top of a mountain. Wouldn't have traded a moment of it, except for bringing my sister who complained the whole time and made me carry her bag (pretty much just clothes and makeup) up a fucking mountain at 4am.

Indifferent DESU. I've always figured I'd get tagged at least once, as they're everywhere out here.

I probably would have died if I wasn't as big as I am IMO. The average venom yield tends to kill an average sized man if the person is envenomed with it (70-80 kilos), but I'm 120, so there's a lot more of a safety margin there. Eastern Brown snakes do a lot of defensive bites too, but I was envenomed both times.

The Coastal Taipan is the only real snake I fear around here, as the average venom yield is enough to kill tens of men, even if the venom itself isn't as toxic.
