Are there any databases of GPS coordinates of interesting places? Like geocaches but instead of hidden containers it would just be ghost towns or caves and abondoned buildings.

There is one of abandoned buildings. http://www.uer.ca/. They are elitist as fuck though. The requirements to get access to anything worthwhile are really obnoxious. I personally have a map of a ton of stuff in SC if anyone is interested.

You can find some stuff in Openstreetmap. An easier way that I search for things is using the Android app Osmand~ and have it highlight certain types of nodes.
