Today for my Soils and Water class we're going out to a frozen lake to sample its pH and apparently there's a shit ton of snow on the frozen surface

I was totally gonna bring my snowsuit and boots but I forgot we were going today

Any advice on how to walk in deep snow wearing jeans and ADIDAS tennis shoes?
