>>1458527>>how many litres?>So far I have a 3L camelback The backpack, you mongoloid. How many litres of storage space.
>>cookset >I don’t think I’ll have the space for stuff like that But you do have space for a shitload of clothes, a hatchet, and two knives.
On the remote chance you're not LARPing:
Pack: any decent 65L pack
Tent: either a decent tarp + 2 trekking poles, or a light 2-person tent (1 person + gear)
Sleeping bag: something adequate for the expected temperatures
Sleeping mat: Thermarest Z-Lite Sol
Hydration: one 3L bladder
Stove: MSR PocketRocket
Pot: TOAKS 750ml pot
Water treatment: Sawyer Squeeze filter, or purification tablets (probably won't last you 1000 miles)
Add to this a first-aid kit, toiletries, some cordage, something to write with/on, a lightsource, raingear, a fleece jacket, extra socks and underwear, any electronics you want to bring, documents (such as ID), and a pack liner.
Food should be calorie dense stuff like peanut butter, nuts, chocolate, hard cheese, dry sausage, tortilla wraps, pilot bread, dried fruit, instant noodles, instant potatoes, instant pasta, couscous, etc. Also add some instant espresso and multivitamin tablets. As a rough estimate you're going to need 2000 calories a day, plus 525 for every hour hiked.
Wear as light a hiking shoes as you can get away with. Try to geep your total pack weight (including food and water) under 35 pounds.
