We have been dating a few months and are planning to go to Moab later this summer together.

I have about $250 dollars budgeted.

A backpack is a solid gift but again provide details for better suggestions. A pair of quality boots are great too, or trail runner if you want to go the ultrafag route. or a book since spending $250 on someone who have been with for a couple months seems somewhat excessive.

Kupilka. I have 3 of the cups, 2 of the plate/cup/bowl things and two sets of their cuttlery. Great material 50/50 wood and recycled plastic, so the thermal properties of wood with none of the care associated
Recently saw they've made a larger cup, although they seem to only offer those in their God awful looking dyed versions, picked the black for laughs, the balance is kind of off for me though and I still prefer the smaller ones

For the eggs
>take egg
>take small thin stick
>gently poke hole in top of egg (a slow drilling motion with you knife tip works great too)
>stir inside of egg (or don't)
>put egg hole side up on dull coals at the edge of a fire
>if the egg is closer to the fire and there aren't an even coal bed, turn them
>when the small bit of egg that comes out the top hole stops and is solidified
Egg is done, delicious ash eggs

get them something small and easy that they wouldnt get themselves (like a high end headlamp) and put the rest on a gift card... or even better take them to the best outdoors store in a 100 mile radius and let them pick out what they want. my wife knew i wanted a new pair of thai gloves for my birthday but instead of listening to crazy people on the internet she brought my to a really nice fight goods store and paid for a pair that i was able to pick out after trying on a few pairs. it brought me much joy.
