hey Virginia anons, I'm from Fredericksburg and want to go camping somewhere with my guns and goof off with them, but I'm having a hard time finding a spot. Any recommendations?

You're pretty much SOL unless you go out of the state, the GWNF doesn't allow the use of firearms outside of hunting but the nearest place that does is Monongahela in WV, be glad your not in Hampton Roads, there's nowhere to do that for a solid four hours in any direction.

Cove Campground in Gore has some pretty nice ranges and they even have steel silhouettes you can shoot. I traipsed all over their campground with my AR and plate carrier and got bothered by no one

Northern Virginia is basically a suburban hellhole. It's DC spillover. Horrible traffic, MS-13, "refugees welcome" signs in people's yards, the remnants of history being paved over for housing developments and shopping centers. Robert E. Lee would weep if he saw what became of his beloved Northern Virginia.

As someone who has lived in NoVa their entire life, I never got to appreciate the /out/doors much. Now one of my friends is getting me into it but we still don’t really have anywhere to go. Feels bad man.
