What /out/ plans do you guys have for this Spring? The lads and myself had plans for camping like we'd done last Summer. Maybe some rabbit hunting. Open to suggestions.

Gonna get into bowfishing this year. I'd like to get into some small game action, too. We'll see. Gotta get my fucking satphone fixed first, though. Might even upgrade to the new R1250GS Adventure later this year. I took a test ride on the previous model and found it much easier to handle than one might think.

Yeah I wasn't able to do that in my situation, was in step hills with wased out gravel. Bike went down at a upward angle if I picked it up like that it would have rolled down the hill

Not entirely sure what you mean by this. If you mean that she took a nap with her nose oriented up the grade (as in, you were riding uphill), all you'd have to do would be to put her in first before lifting her up. If you mean that the top of the bike ended up facing down the grade, then yeah, that's a little trickier. In such a situation, I'd probably try to reorient the bike so that the nose faced downhill. A partial lift and some wrangling of the bars would likely do the trick.

The big GS kinda "cheats", though --because of the boxer engine layout, she's basically a third of the way up on level ground, especially when wearing hard panniers, as you can see in this image of the previous model.

I saw very similar while standing near a canyon ledge on a private ranch in Montana. It was a black unmarked F14, and there was no fence, otherwise essentially identical to this photo.

I am 5'11, 150lbs. First time I dropped my vt1100c2 it took me 15 minutes to pick it up and required help from a passerby. Now I can pick it up with ease once you know the technique.
