I would really appreciate alittle advice with a problem I ran into last night.
I have a very old 2 person dome tent (it’s not in production any more, but it looks like a clone of a Ascend Red Lodge 2 person dome)
I had very heavy rain last night in about 55-60 degree weather, and while my tent’s rainfly kept the bulk of the rain out, I did get some splashes and water accumulation on the edges and corners of the floor of my tent on the inside. It was troublesome, but not enough to significantly ruin my experience.
On inspection of my tents fly this morning, it seems like my fly actually absorbed water in certain areas, with a significant portion around the seems.
My question are as follows;
Is my tent fly faulty or am I being unrealistic in thinking it should be water proof?
Did I choose the wrong area to set my tent? I was underopen skies with no addition coverage over my tent.
Is there anything I can do to water proof it further?
Thanks frens
