Maybe I've just narrowly avoided a horrific death, but that's how my parents taught me and how we all do it in my area.Never heard of anyone, who's not a tourist and self declared expert, getting poisoned and no deaths as far as I'm aware. Of course I know a lot of the mushrooms by their names and know a bunch more, but that's the basic of Alp mushrooming I think. Go out in late summer or preferably autumn after it has rained for a day or two.
