No but seriously, a book or two, playing cards, one or two of my carving/whittling knives. That's it.
If it's a shorter trip, I bring my phone loaded up with podcasts and music. I usually keep it off unless lounging around at night, and mostly in airplane mode, etc.. The downside of course is I then feel compelled to bring a battery pack. I always have a small radio in my pack with an aux jack, so I can use that a speaker. So I fiddle around if I can get any stations.
If I'm van camping in a national park, I do also sometimes bring along my banjo.
