Budget gear that’s actually decent. Let’s hear it.

Tarp, groundlay and mosquito net. All you need in my climate. I couldn't see myself using anything portable in snow. You can throw in a slepping bag or just a throwover depending on the time of year.

If I'm going to walk 200km I don't want to be carrying any more than I have to. 50km per day is a good target on level or hilly ground. Low mountain ranges will slow that to 15 or 20km.

That looks like it'd be better than the one I was thinking of copping on aliexpress. I saw it shilled on a youtube channel as an amazon item but found they're on aliexpress for cheaper.

BRS has qc issues with some of the pot stands melting under intense heat. Cheap brandname poles are monoprice carbon with cork handles.

Me personally, I avoided. The weight loss isn't worth the potential for structural instability. They're supposed to be made of titanium, so i'm not sure what you're talking about. If you get it, just be careful not to turn the heat too high for too long and always use a wind screen as wind can blow the flame in one direction creating a hot spot that can melt the stands. I got the FMS-116T which is only about an ounce more and distributes the heat more evenly/has wider pot stands.

Yeah m8 those are the ones I'm talking about. I figured it was good odds they're coming out of the same Chinese factory.
It was to do with Amazon setting up in Australia and having to comply with our GST law. The Australian government decided that if I buy something from you then you have to collect 10% extra from me and give it to them.

I don't know about him but I didn't do anything more than look for trekking poles and look for the ones that looked like the amazon ones.

Sometimes how it works in China is that a company does not own a factory as much as it rents a factory and its staff. So, like, maybe 12 hours a day that factory makes doc martens boots and then instead of closing at night they make doctor chang's boots.
Doctor Martens essentially taught China how to rip them off exactly.
One worry is that the "doctor chang" boots won't necessarily have the same quality control or materials. You could be getting materials that were rejected for the Martens boots and workmanship that would have been rejected for them too.
But, since a lot of these cheap Amazon brands are essentially no-name Chinese crap to begin with, it might not be much different if it goes by another name on aliexpress.
Good luck returning it, though.

the wick messed up some how on the heater and i ran into this. about 20 buck mini kerosene heater/stove. that would keep you from freezing ass off right. just let some air in so you don't mcfucking kill your self.

Maximum comf. And so inexpensive. Gave a few away as gifts a couple years ago and everyone absolutely loved them, even my parents who hate everything. Really love this little thing, especially during blizzards but also just around the campfire or as a camp nightlight long after the fire's gone out.

I also have a pair of carhartt ripstop cargo work pants that i got for 20 on clearing . but looking online they are about 60$ now, which i dont think is worth it, you'd do just as well with Chinese alternatives.
