Camping with lack of nature

No.1469253 View ViewReplyOriginalReport
So I recently had to move from a comfy small rural town. When I lived there I used to hike every single day because it was just so comfy, there was just mountains, lakes, meadows, small fields and forest as far as the eye could see in any direction. I could walk out my front door and I had a mountain to climb and a forest to explore just mere meters away. If I wanted to camp or hike I could go practically anywhere in any direction and it would have been fine, 5-10 minutes and I would have been completely alone in nature.
About a year ago I had to move because of work which really sucked in some way. I now live in the coastal flatland and even though it's still a rural area it's like a desert. There is no mountain ranges, barely any forests, mountains and hills, just fields, buildings and roads. I've tried driving around to see if I can find some comfy location but no luck so far, I probably have to drive 10-20 minutes before I find a place.

Going back to where I used to live takes about an hour including a ferry trip which costs like $25 I do that maybe once every other month or so just to spend a night out there but it feels like such a hassle having to travel so long and so far just to enjoy nature. If I could I would move the fuck back but there is no work for me there outside of maybe factory or retail work. Maybe later

Is there any way I can camp and get comfy even with the lack of nature here? I'm thinking about stealth camping in a field or something but I haven't tried it yet
