not really great /out/ but some really nice nature walks. my wife's uncle (i dont know what you would call that) took me to mount falcon while i was up there. it was a very nice casual walk. very pretty views. some cool areas to explore. not the most wild Colorado hike by any stretch but if you are in the area, its very pleasant.

there is also short cut from Denver that gets right into the Arapaho in like an hour drive. i don't know it but maybe someone on here does (or you can use google maps)

I can't remember the exact route, but swing around whatever that interstate is that splits Denver from the mountains (it swings along north of Denver then south) and get off at Golden. From Golden find the road that climbs into the mountains and just disappears. There's a big 'M' on a mountain peak as you drive into these fantastic valleys. Anyway, find your way to a town called Blackhawk, pass through, and keep going. You drive right into Arapahoe along whatever that road is. I wanna say it's 119 or 16 or something. I can't remember.

I traveled to denver. Coming from deep south texas, i was stunned on how beautiful colorado is. It made me appreciate how beautiful nature can be, outside my misery and routined life. I wish i had been more /out/ and visited the parts less traveled

No, going /out/ in Denver is a pain in the ass now because you can’t get to anything without slogging through the I-70 corridor with 125 million other assholes. Then when you get to any trail or anything, it has this giant commercialized feel because it’s been built up to cater to the huge influx of tech faggots.
Fuck the entire Denver metro area. /Out/ in Colorado is everything as far away from Denver as possible.

It is beautiful out that way.
I once tried to make it over tincup pass but someone had hogged out a deep mud hole across the small Creek above the Treeline and I was worried about getting stuck up there without proper cold weather gear.
So I just turned around and made camp
beloved the tree line and then made my way to Gunnison National Forest the next day.
