My main rain gear is a set of rei brand eventx top and bottom. It is pretty heavy but it works very well. The top has pit vents and boob pocket vents and I think it cost about 150 for both pieces together.
My lightweight option is this Patagonia top I got on sale last year. It's some new stretchy type of goretex. It's a great top but it looks gay as fuck so I only wear it in the woods.
