>>1486933>What do Germans typically wear?Same as people in any other western country or even japan, china and korea. jeans, t-shirt and leather or synthetic jacket for casual purposes and button down shirt and jeans for business for men and dress or tight jeans and shirt / blouse for women. Or suits if there's a need to be formal (which usually is only the case for legal matters or top management positions).
>I assume this is just a Bavarian sort of traditional thing, done to honor their ancestors.People who wear Loden are hunters who want to larp as 18th century nobles and a few guys who wear it because it is just the best material when you're outdoors in wet weather for an extended period. Nothing to do with anyones ancestors. Also, it's not limited to Bayern, in Schwaben and the Pfalz Loden is also somewhat common.
>I'd like to keep the tradition alive myself, even though I am not a native born German>I am, nonetheless, still a German. You american larpers are really ridiculous.
>>1486946>How true is that today?pretty much untrue. As good as Loden is, it's just to expensive to become common. Most people wear cheap cotton, leather or synthetic jackets.
