>>1481628Trying to sell my MoTrail, the thing cannot handle even a slight shift in wind and sucks in wind to begin with. Had the rain flaps in the back literally burst open in high winds and the side of the tent buckle in to the point where it reached the center of the tent, it's a testament to build quality that it didn't tear the tent cloth or rip a seam but holy fuck what a long night, had to go out and rotate the tent with lunatic winds trying to blow it away twice, needed to grab rocks and put them in the tent to weigh it down while I tried to get some pegs in the ground.
Now use a Seek Outside Silvertip and am about to get a small stove for it.
OP you should get a small tent that can accept a woodstove, you can make one for almost nothing out of a beer keg, propane tank, ammo can, etc. As long as you're in a remote spot and only use the stove at night (preferably in bad weather or really bitter cold so there are less people out) you'll be fine year round.
Sort of related: do y'all remove your metal zipper pulls and use string with a knot instead? Less clinking and rattling when the wind picks up.
