It's alright. In the panhandle we have the blackwater river which has some pleasant trails. There is also some caverns near Mariana(very strange town). There's also a crystal spring where there's a cavern below. It's so clear you can see straight to the bottom but I forgot the name. Do keep in mind it's flat and gets extremely hot during the summer though. Otherwise it's really pretty though besides the
"imbred" people but usually they're nice.

It's better than south fla on account of being that much closer to ga where the good out starts with okefenokee, then a gap between there and north ga where from there through maine over to arkansas is the great eastern woodlands, which is essentially one giant forest with spots of cities and towns cut into it. There's some good state parks and wilderness along that north fla panhandle, make the most of whatever you can.

Florida in general is fine I guess. Your options for something like camping for example are very limited because the land is overdeveloped. Certainly not a first pick for me, unless you're into water stuff (kayaking, canoeing, sailing, fishing, swimming, etc) which is god tier comfy.
My only real issue with living there was boomers keeping it too eerily quiet all the time. It drove me insane growing up but I did come to appreciate it sometimes.
Pic related is Weedon Island near where I grew up (St Petersburg). It seems you have to go looking for the hidden gems.

I've heard Ocala National Forest is very beautiful and nice for camping and hiking.

Apalachicola is really great too.

Fanning springs is a wonderful place to swim if you're ever in the area. Has a nice nature trail too.

Florida is the colostomy bag of the nation and with so much international trade going through here we've caught every fucking disease known to man. Nasty shit (viruses, bacteria, plants, and animals) always transmits via the tropics, and Florida is the condomless dick of the nation.
No one I know who is sane goes /out/ in Florida without slathering in DEET and fucking praying they don't get bitten by some viral vector mosquito. The City of Orlando alone dumps and sprays 14,000 gallons of mosquito toxin a year just to keep the retirees from getting fucking third world diseases when they go to their mailboxes.
Maybe the far west Florida panhandle outside of Mobile. As long as you stay west of Tallahassee and north of Jacksonville, you might be okay, but that only leaves about 5% of the state.
