My hammock is rocking enough for me. To just sit down I use a sitting pad.

Apart from that, if I'm going somewhere you can't hang a hammock and I know it's just a 1-day trip (like field trips/surveys), I take my helinox chair one (that i basically got for free). Gotta say I've used it more often at uni than outside, though.

I use a small canvas hammock as a bench, next to my main sleeping hammock. Other than that I just sit on a log or onnaground. I find a chair is too much of a "single use" item to make it worth carrying a lot of the time. The side hammock doubles as pack/boot/water storage which keeps it all safe, dry, and in arm's reach when I'm sleeping in my main hammy

I use the basic bitch folding chairs if I'm camping out of a vehicle. Otherwise ground is good enough unless it is wet then I bring a chunk of a yoga mat

I use one of these high school gym stadium seats from my my old high school. Weighs nothing's clips to outside of pack and can be used as a fan for fire. Saw a guy on the AT with one and thought it was a great idea.
