the biggest /out/ paradox is conservation politics imo.
Most of the truly avid outdoorsmen are conservative but sadly conservative politicians -tend- to favor economic growth over conservation. Leftists take a more environmental stance but their voting base hangs out in cities or only dip a toe into easy mode outdoorsmenship like national parks and jogging trails.
it wasn't always like this, once upon a time conservatives were the conservation party (its in the name even). what changed and why? how do we change it back? Do you vote on the basis of conservation or more holistically?
