I'm more of a flora guy myself. especially the small kind. Any time I see a good patch of lichen or moss or mushrooms I light up. especially rare ones, obviously.
maybe later I'll compress down some of my photos and share them here

Any migratory/seasonal animal is always a treat.
I know they are super common but I love seeing Canada geese. For me the first time I see them in spring is one of my highlights of the year.

I love seeing deer in the woods
They fuck about in my suburban neighborhood and the sides of highways and it's completely mundane and unexciting, but put those same deer on the other side of a lake or clearing and it's wonderful

I love to see turtles, they dont show up often to my backyard, but its great when they do. We have box turtles in my area, and we used to have a breeding pair that lived nearby, but one of the neighborhood kids killed the female, so its rarer to see them now.

yea, the little shit shot it in the shell point blank with an airsoft gun until it died. This is according to anther neighborhood kid though, so it could be false. The male still shows up every so often, and we had a few young ones come in the yard 2 seasons ago, so a new female may have moved in. The fucking beaners who mow the lawn killed one of the babies though, which made me seethe pretty hard

I knew a kid who was a little messed up. He was fun to be around because his parents bought him all the video game stuff he wanted, but his mom was fat and constantly angry. One day we saw a turtle out near a stream and he pretty much did it in.

I was fly fishing a few weeks ago and saw so many different animals.I like to see the weird birds like loons and sandhill cranes and the ospreys building their nests.

Of course, two different species I caught and dozens of different aquatic invertebrates while wading, not to mention the beaver and musky boys that watch me wade.

I'm turning into a weirdo about animals guys, I get so much fulfillment from fishing, not even catching but seeing animal friends and learning.

Honestly reptiles in general always make me happy. I chilled by a river today and saw 28 turtles, 3 sneks, and a ton of lizards. It was a really good day.

I like tracking and photograpging deer. The area where I live in there is alot of woodland and wildlife, and deer have increased in numbers in the past years. This is one of the pictures I took three days ago.

hey bruh, I'm black snake goy. Look who I ran into today at the same area. My spidey sense around snakes is uncanny. This is the third or fourth time I've stopped and looked around and spotted a snek.

Something just unnerves me and I look around and spot them, this time I think it was because I was walking over a rock pile. Last time I had the spidey sense I spotted a timber rattle snake on a boulder like 20 feet in front to the left of me.

Anyone else notice this? I kind of feel like its an evolutionary thing. Like maybe we subconsciously notice the patterns commonly found on snakes and get a fight/flight-ish response.

Definitely turtles. I once stumbled on what I assume was two turtles in the delicate act of foreplay; a smallish turtle was banging himself repeatedly and loudly (which was how I found them) on a much larger (at least double his size) turtle. They stopped when they saw me, and I felt bad for the little guy whose chance to score I disrupted.

Pic related, I had to fish that shit out of my derelict flickr account. Please excuse the color editing, I was playing around wit that stuff at the time (three years ago).

I also see dead animals every once in a while, mostly cows since I walk along grazing areas a lot. While not exactly something that's nice to see, there's a sad beauty to it I think. Especially when they pose as dramatically as this one did.
