I just received the news that I was not accepted into the master's program I was hoping to begin this fall (Masters of Community Planning). This now means that I am without a plan regarding work/school for the next year and I need to start coming up with ideas so I don't end up earning minimum wage at the same outdoor store I have shilled part-time in the past. So what are some /out/ related jobs I could do for a year or so that could either help me build up some savings or would offer good work experience? I have an undergrad in geography with a decent amount of computer mapping experience and I am not a complete academic failure (grades in B+ A- range). I also have a fair amount of /out/ experience and am getting decently passionate about hunting. Do any of you guys have similar backgrounds or work in areas such as geomatics, surveying or resource management? Should I just try and take advantage of this time to travel and backpack?
