>>1493374This. Oregon fag here, portland sucks homeless dick. Powells lives up to the hype, its a cool bookstore in the center of a overrated city. Go down south to the wallemette valley and you can start to see some cool shit, its neat with all of the vineyards everywhere. Lots of forested areas around Mcminnville and the hills are full of rednecks and older logging areas. Eastern oregon is also dope, christmas valley is fun as all hell if sand is what you want. Lots of /out/ destinations in Oregon, but portland isn't one. Stay rural if you want fun. Hebo lake is a local kind of deal, its a trout fishing pond on hebo mountain. Hiking to the top isn't hard, there used to be a Pacific overwatch station built into the hillside, you can see a huge amount of the oregon coast. Absolutely one of the most amazing views out there. Don't know if your supposed to be there, but its cool. Also the trout pond is pretty well stocked, catch a little fish and cook it at a campsite, pretty cozy.
