Hey, /out/, let's talk about Satan. Er, I mean, hogs.
I live in Texas. Last summer, I was helping my great grandfather with some fencing, because hogs had been tearing up his fence. The third morning, we got the fence, and saw a herd/pack/whatever of no less than twenty five hogs. This summer, I'm a little stronger, a little faster, and a little more daring, so I was thinking. I want to hunt them.
To be perfectly honest, I'm not a very good shot. The older ways of doing things have always interested me, so the two of those factors combined, I've been thinking about hunting them with knives, spears, and, of course, a few friends.
I've done a bit of googling, and the entire process seems very simple. But I know jack shit about hunting demonic fuzzy oinkers with a pointy stick, so I'm asking you. My primary concern is what makes a good boar spear, and where might I acquire one?
Knife/spear/other non-modern form of hunting general.
