No, they haven't fixed the edge and never will, since the labour needed to do so would push the price outside the target market.
In my opinion, it's a lot of added weight for no benefit compared to the Mora, since I don't baton with my knives.
It has the potential to be a stylish and practical all-purpose knife if you regrind and sharpen the blade, take off the coating, let a patina develop, sand off the handle and treat it with linseed oil. It's more of a knife kit than a finished product.
If that's too much work, the Enzo Trapper is similar, with a choice of handle and steel materials, for twice the price.
tl/dr: not worth it if you already own an ESEE and a Mora, and aren't willing to put in some work to get a traditionally styled knife for looks.
