Some recomendations for a good flashlight? I was thinking of buying a mini maglite LED. I need them because i joined on the brazilian army academy, and i plan buying something that will last the 5 years.
Must be:
>strong
>water resistent
>work on AA or AAA, not rechargeable batteries
>Bright (around 100 lumens, i dont need something to blind someone)

They're water-resistant if maybe not waterproof (can't confirm as I never really abused them), tough metal construction, VERY bright but with economy mode that is still bright yet conserves a lot of battery, and work with AAA batteries. They also have a very convenient zoom that works out to ~150 meters. So they fit your criteria. But unlike Maglite, they are unbranded shit from china, so it's a gamble purchase. I bought three from that specific link and I'm very happy with them, my maglite mini turned into a backup/lend-to-a-friend flashlight when I'm /out/.

Streamlight makes some pretty decent lights and you can have them for $30-$40

LED Lenser has pretty good flashlights. Their P5 is similiar in size to the mini maglite and far superior in terms of brightness and focus - it'll light up a ~5m circle at ~100m. Usually it costs 40-50$, but if you can find a vendor that still has some of the old model left, you can get them for 20-30$.
If you don't intend to use the flashlight as an impact weapon or for long-range lighting, something like the Fenix E05 (~20$) might also be an option. It's extremely small, uses an AAA battery and is bright enough for most purposes. Downside is that it doesn't have a lens system.

I have one of those and I used to love it when it was either the LED Maglite or a shitty plastic light. But now I prefer those $10 tactical lights over that thing. There are better options for the money, flashlight fags will give you some custom BS recommendation.

If you like Maglite and want something you can buy locally, pic related is sweet. The twist on-off in regular Maglites is awful and it won’t be long before you kill the batteries when accidentally turning it on in your bag. The gf’s dad has one of these XL’s and I used it for the first time the other day and it’s so much better. It has different settings so you don’t need to blind yourself looking at a map for 3 seconds and it has a good on-off button on the rear. Nice and bright for the size.

Energizer has really good LED flashlights these days. I have a little 2-AA one (similar to the Minimag in size) and it's amazing. 450 lumens on bright and something like 200 on the dim mode. Cheap, quality knurled metal, water resistant, easy to use, etc.

You say that but I have a J5 Tactical V1-PRO ($14 Amazon) mounted to a 12 gauge. Have over 1000 shells through it, light continues to work fine. Shrug.

Somewhat related, my Maglite Mini like OPs pic always fucking explodes batteries if I don’t use it often.

But the leaky alkaline batteries aren’t explosive enough for me so now I use these $10 China-tac flashlights and stick a Li-Ion in them. They came with tubes for an 18650 if the buyer got bored of 3xAAAs, but these 3350mAh cells (20650?) fit perfectly in the spot where the AAA carrier used to go. No protection for the cell but whatever, they last a long time too.

In the modern flashlight market, nearly everything is manufactured in China. In fact they own the LED market. This has led to multiple lines of products from even the best manufacturers out there (low-tier business don't care) where they have an "authentic" line with a price to backup the quality, only components restricted to China are produced there, and then a "novelty" line with components made as quickly and cheaply as possible.
