>>1498080I wear wool or wool blends from fall to spring, but not in the summer.
I have a couple medium weight wool(60%)/poly(30%)/nylon(10%) blend button down shirts that I love to use in cold/cool weather (-40C to 10C)
A few lightweight baselayer type shirts (one long, one short sleeve) that are blended with 20% nylon that are great up to maybe 20C.
In real hot+humid weather, I opt for poly button downs because it's lightweight and dries super quick so I can wash it in the lake. It does stink real bad, however I don't wear them in town so I tend not to care so much.
Wool is great for regulating temp, but when it's humid I hate wearing wool because it gets heavy, loses shape, and takes a while to dry. I've worn some in +35C and been very hot.
Pros: Warm, resists stank, comfy, great at regulating temperature, quiet, breathable.
Cons: Fragile (comparatively), gets caught on brush/foliage, longer drying time, expensive
