I was in Silverton, Colorado. I was quite prepared and I sort of overdid it but I had thermal base layers on, a synthetic midlayer, and a large goose down jacket. I was inside a summer bag, inside a 20 degree bag, inside of a emergency bivy, inside of my bivy tent. I had my hood up on the jacket with a buff around my face.
During the middle of the night the condesation from my breath froze over on top of the tent and the outside completely froze over.
