Im planning on staying a night in a forest I havent been to yet with a buddy of mine.
What kinda shelter could the two of us set up in one day?
Provided we have the materials, I think its a forest with evergreen and deciduous trees

Its getting hot here again, we plan on having a little fire(even though its forbidden) and this wouldnt be the first time Ive slept in the woods so I know what to expect

leanto and Aframe are east to do in a short time but it may not be totally weather tight
you can bring a tarp to seal the roof or even try a half crafted shelter such as cutting poles to make a tarp tipi

For a single night, the tarp and a bed roll or hammock will suffice, use boughs if you need insulation from the wind under you. Your major shelter will be the clothes you're wearing.

Literally anyway you can conceive suspending a tarp above you will probably work. As a prev anon said, your clothes and sleeping bag+mat should be enough shelter with a tarp.
