In about a year I am planning a long journey up to northern europe, far far up north, where I will be staying for a couple years surviving using only what nature provises me with, plus a few items i will bring with as i depart. I will have nothing holding me back, no expenses to pay or anything like that. My family knows this and they will be waiting for my return. But before I go, I would like to gather books and other things that I could go to for knowledge regarding survival in mixed climates. Water wont be a problem since im going to be camping out next to a decently sized freshwater lake, but when it comes to trapping, knowledge about plants/mushrooms and stuff like that, im not very knowledgable. So, what books would you recomend bringing with? The thinner the better, books can be quite heavy.
