>>1509537Provided you have a good enough filter, boiling really isn't necessary. The only things a good filter wont catch are chemicals, which boiling won't destroy and frankly aren't a problem unless you're getting your water from a river with industrial runoff or something.
You could still boil your water if your paranoid or have a lower-end filter. Tablets are a last resort imo
