Does anyone make their own MREs from home cooked products, not like the picture.

Like does anyone actually make their own Lasagna or Chicken or something and then preserve it into MRE form? How would one do this? I know very little about what is used as a preservative or how to keep it shelf stable, but I think it would be cool to be able to do this with my own food instead of just packets of noodles and tuna.
