What are some easy freshwater flies to attempt tying (for bass, trout, and panfish) if you’re just getting into it?

Let's see how long it takes for skid to show up.

But you can't go wrong with a white wooly bugger on a semi-sunny day and an olive or black wooly bugger on a cloudy day. In late evening you can catch bass or panfish on an appropriate sized popper deerhair or otherwise. Stocked trout will usually take a size 10-8 stimulator at dusk. A San Juan worm will catch any of those species. Including a 3 pound bass I caught that surprised the hell out of me on my 3wt.

I started out at 14 tying midges, really simple flies that require 3 materials that are effective year round for trout. As I got more comfortable with it and really got the basics down I started trying out more complex flies with various materials. Never could get dry flies to work properly.
YouTube and going to live tying events helped me get started
