So, /out/, I'm considering hunting with my Mosin, and more importantly I'm thinking of taking a backpacking trip ala 1942: I'm gonna use all period ear and backpack 50 miles through Idaho mountains.
Rifle, jacket, pants, backpack, etc: all period correct gear for a standard red soldier circa WWII.

Anyway, anything you guys would suggest I bring that wasn't WWII original and wouldn't destroy the theme? I've never really snow camped before, and this is going to be in March (aka SNOW LAND TIEM in Idaho).
