>>1522295>5 hour long youtube videoI commend people uploading lengthy videos. I'm sick to shit of 5-10min vids.
>120 hour survivalAs someone who has done water fasting for 30 days, without eating a single bit of food and still being able to work hard on the farm, these, "survival challenges," don't really seem all that worthy of much note. Especially, when you compare them to the likes of Ray Mears and his totally laid back comfy way of absolutely thriving innawoods while maintaining his weight. Back when I was a dumbshit in the 80s we did our own woodland challenges. Like only wearing normal clothing and trying to "survive" for 2 weeks in the woods with only what could be carried in a single 35mm film canister. We learned a lot from that.
Considering one of their goals is to maintain their weight, this gives their video more credibility as a survival challenge. That isn't a difficult challenge in most wooded places during warm seasons. It all comes down to knowledge and skill. Because, there's an absolute ton of food around you at all times. You just need to know what to look for and how to harvest & prepare it. Also, packing in a ton of modern food is fine since it can only be used as emergency backup and bringing out the same weight in food helps lend more legitimacy to the weight challenge without making them a statistic if they were injured/sick and couldn't gather food as needed.
Regardless, this is interesting as I have down time to watch it.
>>1522448If you are inexperienced and don't have the knowledge you can lose weight rapidly. 1lbs of fat weight per day + a ton of water weight when that happens. If you are above 150lbs then you should be okay for 2 weeks of no food. After that you start to risk all sorts of problems. Starting out as below 140lbs (for men) means you really need to keep track of your weight.
