I do about a six week stretch every other year or so, just lake hopping. Usually, it's only three of four weeks, because I like to go into town at the beginning of the month to resupply and treat myself to a burger.
>>1524089>The correct thing to do in this situationJust walk down hill. I can't even tell you the number of times I've gotten myself turned around and ended up on the wrong mountain. Down always leads to water, and water always leads to people. It's a little more difficult when you're trying to get lost in the woods for weeks though, finding civilization means starting over from the beginning.
>>1524092>some sort of compass should always be carriedI don't, but okay.

>>1525350>the property she was "lost" on just happened to be owned and used by one of the producers of the tv show naked and afraid.Hmm.
>CICOThe quantification of calories is a myth. On ~500 cal/day, walking ~25miles/day, I stopped losing weight at 130lbs after three months; On ~2500 calories/day and stagnating, I stopped gaining weight at 185lbs after about six months, then dropped back down to 180. There's more to human metabolism than how much heat is generated by burning something inside a pressure cooker.
