Unpacking from the weekends adventures and my egg case finally gave up.
I notice that i spend so many weeks a year camping, that a lot of my gear is starting to wear out.
What gear have you worn out?
What gear seems to last forever?

You can epoxy a couple small metal hinges on it to fix that.

Only the cheap shit which I no longer buy.

All the old stuff that is vintage or antique and all the stuff I make for myself. One exception is my last rocket stove. The metal rusts eventually and since it is made of food cans it is expected not to last more than a few years of very hard use.

Had them for a bit under a year, right shoe was full of water day before yesterday, lots of small holes on the side not just the big hole at the front, I have flat feet and use orthopedic insoles so the padding at the heel has worn away.
Went to three stores in the area and they have every Salomon shoe and boot under the sun except this one for some reason.

I found a line of sketchers sneakers that were super light weight and fit me better than any shoe in my life. They only lasted a single year before the toes were blown out and the padding was caved in. I bought them for 3 years in a row before they "upgraded" the line to something else that turned them into a real pain to wear and they fell apart faster (top tier faggotry at hand there). Now I'm wearing steel-toed, pull-on, water proof Georgia Boots (pic). They are a little heavy, clunky, and hot in summer, but I can tell I'll most likely get a few years out of them.

I spend a lot of time off trails in mountainous terrain, tried a bunch of different trail runners and these were the only ones with good enough grip that were reasonably waterproof also fit super thick insoles well.
Have had problems with my Achilles and Bursa in the past, only wear boots in the winter to prevent aggravating my old injuries.
