I really want to get a hunting dog, particularly pic related. Trouble is, I've never owned any sort of dog, or even been hunting with one. Is hunting training something I can do on my own with such little experience, or should I find some kind of training school, or at least get friends with dogs?

I'm thinking I'd like to train to hunt multiple species, like birds and rabbits, maybe bear if possible, and I hear that Brittanys are a good breed for that sort of versatility.
